CORPORATE Communications, publisher of the Eastern Shore Sun newspaper, has appointed Carolyn Baker to the position of advertising sales executive.
Carolyn joins the editorial and advertising team at the Eastern Shore Sun after a long and successful career at News Corp Australia where she most recently sold print advertising for the weekly Tasmanian Country rural newspaper.
She has significant experience in the newspaper production process, having held roles in paper planning, copy control, classified sales, phone ads and administration management.
Carolyn said she was looking forward to continuing her newspaper sales career at Corporate Communications, which also publishes the Hobart Observer and Glenorchy Gazette newspapers.
“I am very much looking forward to working with local businesses and existing advertisers to help them to achieve business growth through advertising in our various newspapers,” she said.
The managing director of Corporate Communications, Nicolas Turner, said Carolyn had more than 30-years’ newspaper sales experience and would quickly become a valuable member of the consultancy’s newspaper production team.
“She has a proven track record and significant newspaper sales experience which will be invaluable for the publications division of the consultancy as it continues to grow,” he said.
