CORPORATE Communications, publisher of the Eastern Shore Sun newspaper, has appointed Peter Carey to the position of advertising sales executive.
Peter joins the editorial and advertising team at the Eastern Shore Sun after a long and successful career at The Mercury.
He has significant experience in the newspaper production process, having held roles mainly in commercial features, newspapers in the Education School Page program and written the occasional column.
Peter said he was looking forward to continuing his newspaper sales career at Corporate Communications, which also publishes the Glenorchy Gazette and Hobart Observer newspapers.
“I am very much looking forward to working with local businesses and existing advertisers to help them to achieve business growth through advertising in our various newspapers,” he said.
The managing director of Corporate Communications, Nicolas Turner, said Peter had more than 22-years’ newspaper sales experience and was confident he would quickly become a valuable member of the consultancy’s newspaper production team.
“He has a proven track record and significant newspaper sales experience which will be invaluable for the publications division of the consultancy as it continues to grow,” he said.
