Five years of quality healthcare

YOUR Health Hub is celebrating five years of practice in Bellerive Quay.

And it all began when local nurse practitioner Lisa Sproule had a vision to create a fully integrated one-stop centre for health and wellness.

Five years ago, this vision became a reality with the creation of Your Health Hub Medical and Allied Health Centre in Bellerive Quay.

Your Health Hub has since evolved into a key part of the Eastern Shore community with a wide range of services and programs that often surprise people when they enter the clinic.

“One of the comments we frequently hear from new patients is, ‘wow I had no idea that you did all of this here’,” Ms Sproule, nurse practitioner and managing director, said.

Ms Sproule has a firm belief that a team approach to health care is essential for good outcomes and wants to ensure that people have easy access to the healthcare and support they need.

Working alongside general practitioners and nurse practitioners, the Hub’s allied health team includes clinical psychologists, physiotherapists, accredited practising dietitians, exercise physiologists, osteopath, acupuncturist and clinical hypnotherapist – all providing quality healthcare under the one roof.

The addition of Quay Day Spa and Aesthetics, Health and Fitness Studio and Pilates Studio, along with the Transformed Weight Loss Programs, completed the vision of a complete centre for health and wellness.

Some of the signature programs that have been developed by the team at Your Health Hub include Dancing with Parkinson’s, Exercise for Cancer and the successful In Centre Transformed Weight Loss Programs, which have recently been expanded into an online platform.

One of the Hub’s local clients Jon Price said he’d vastly improved his health and lost five kilos because of the Hub’s dietitian and sport physiologists.

“As a teacher, the instruction of the classes has been excellent,” he said.

“Moreover, I’ve also found their health practitioners, receptionists, practice support team and clients to be friendly and helpful.

“It is a very supportive environment.”

Mr Price said it was fabulous that so many professionals were in the same building.

“They can also look at each other’s notes, so the communication among practitioners has been particularly beneficial,” he said.

Ms Sproule said the team at Your Health Hub would continue developing innovative programs to support people in disease prevention and mental health, as well as helping individuals living with chronic illness to live as healthy as possible throughout their whole lifespan.

“We are so excited for the business to be turning five and look forward to continuing to provide quality healthcare to the Eastern Shore community,” she said.
