Far Out Play Centre proves popular for locals and beyond

FOLLOWING three years of operation in Mornington, Far Out Play Centre is stronger than ever.

Looking after parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren from the Eastern Shore and beyond, owners Phil and Jeannie Diamantis have put a lot of hard work into ensuring their business is a happy and entertaining environment.

“We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and presentation and always make the mums, dads and grandparents feel welcome with great coffee and freshly presented food from our Far Out café,” Mrs Diamantis said.

“We also have a unique parents’ couch and TV room, the latest facilities for the children to play on, a loyalty program and free WiFi for parents.”

Birthday parties are also a Far Out Play Centre speciality, with themed rooms ranging from ‘Pirate’ and ‘X-Box’ for boys through to ‘Princess Beauty’ and ‘Fair Garden’ for girls.

Mr and Mrs Diamantis have not stopped there, however.

To plan for future growth, they have recently been working with local business consultant Brendan Wilson in order to identify the business’ strengths and areas of improvement.

“Brendan’s three-month business review program covers all bases,” Mr Diamantis said.

“It has been personalised to our business and gives us a clear direction for growth.

“We will be introducing the right systems and processes, in partnership with staff, to make our business as efficient as possible.

“We already employ up to 16 staff on a permanent and casual basis and are planning for a new staff member to assist with the centre management.”

Far Out Play Centre is located at 2/21 South Arm Road, Mornington with entry also available off Electra Place.
