You’re never too old to ride, especially if you have an electric bicycle.
Bicycle Network is running an e-bike ride to MONA for coffee and cake on Monday 15 October to celebrate Seniors Week and show how bikes can get older Tasmanians moving.
Enjoy a relaxed 27-kilometre ride with fellow riders of e-bikes, trying a different route through the northern suburbs on quiet roads and off-road bike paths.
Take a scenic tour through Lutana, Goodwood and GASP in Montrose, on suburban roads (the e-bikes will be handy on the gentle hill here) before arriving at MONA for coffee.
The return trip will be along the InterCity Cycleway.
It’s a great chance to discover a new on-road route, develop your e-bike knowledge and gain confidence in managing your bike on Hobart’s bike paths and roads.
If you don’t have an e-bike, why not hire one from Hobart Bike Hire and see if you like it?
There will be plenty of chances to talk to other e-bike owners about their bikes.
The ride will leave at 10am from the Hobart Cenotaph carpark (participants are asked to be there 10 minutes before departure) and return at about 12.30pm.
This is a fair-weather ride, so please RSVP so you can be notified if bad weather forces a cancellation.
