Christmas also the time to be healthy

ONE aspect of our modern life which we all must learn to deal with a is our focus on eating and drinking at parties or social  events. And the biggest time for that type of thing is certainly Christmas. While I enjoy a good feed and few beers as much as anyone, and I would never  recommend going in denial and avoiding foods we enjoy eating, we all should start thinking about our eating and exercise over the holiday season.

Getting fit the key to a healthy life

GOING to a gym and getting fit – never!  That was until more than two years ago when my partner and I decided that we were sick of feeling uncomfortable with our general health.  

That’s me encouraging the photographer to ‘hurry up’ as I was holding some pretty heavy weights!

The first investment was an exercise bike and a rowing machine however, it wasn’t until an overseas trip a few months later exposed us to gyms that we realised our home gym efforts really weren’t sufficiently challenging.  And so with some fear and even more trepidation, we sought out our local gym (in this case Oceana Health and Fitness).
