Carolling under the stars

DUST off your Christmas gear and warm up those vocal chords as Carols Under the Stars will be returning to the Eastern Shore again for a night of festivities and celebration.

Last year’s event saw more than 5000 people gather on the Lauderdale Primary School oval for the night of good cheer and Christmas caroling.

The event, which was first held many years ago at Lauderdale Canal, has grown to become one of the Eastern Shore’s favourite family-friendly community events.

With free entry and unlimited activities and rides for the kids, it is a chance for the community to come together, have fun and connect with each other.

The 2017 event will include a carols band, performances by local school children and members of the Hobart Conservatorium of Music, a visit from Santa and an array of food options.

Thanks to support from local businesses and organisations, as well as a team of more than 100 volunteers from Abundant Life Church, Carols Under the Stars is the perfect way to celebrate the Christmas season with friends and family.

Carols Under the Stars will be held on Saturday 16 December at the Lauderdale Primary School oval, located at 3 Acton Road, Lauderdale.

The family festival will begin from 6pm, with the carols program commencing at 7.30pm. Entry is free.
