EMMANUEL Christian School on Hobart’s Eastern Shore has launched Little Learners, a free weekly early learning program for 0 to five year olds and their parents.
Little Learners is run by qualified teaching staff and offers an enjoyable and educational pre-kinder experience for children and parents.
The program provides classroom-based learning for pre-kindergarten aged children giving them an opportunity to engage in a wide range of fun activities that promote and stimulate rich learning.
“Each week during school terms we have activities based around a theme. These activities are aimed at developing skills and extending thinking for children during these important formative years. At Little Learners we encourage parents to explore with their children a variety of materials in new and different ways, “said program coordinator Amanda Sargent.
“As young children develop confidence and familiarity in a classroom environment it gives them a wonderful head start for their formal years of education.”
“We have lots of great events planned for the term including beach visits and picnics, “added Amanda, “including art, music, dancing and regularly visiting the school library.”
Emmanuel Christian School invites any parents of pre-school aged children to come along to Little Learners. It is run each week during school terms between 9.15am to 10.45am. For inquiries phone the school on 6247 8476.
