LOCAL girl Taylor Mills is one step closer to realising her dream of representing Australia.
The teenager, who has been selected in the Australian under-14 girls futsal team, is seeking financial support from business in her local Clarence area to help get her to Barcelona to play in the world championships.

Taylor Mills needs financial support to maker her dream of representing Australia in the Futsal championships possible.
“This is a huge amount of money for not only my family, but for any young sportsperson selected in a representative team,” Taylor said.
“I have been chosen to represent Tasmania in under age futsal team on two previous occasions, and through a lot of hard work, my family I managed to raise the money needed.”
However, the cost of this trip far exceeds the amount the family were able to raise in the past.
With the help of her proud parents, Bronwyn Johnson and Todd Mills, Taylor has already begun a concerted effort to raise the required $6800 for the trip. This includes the cost of airfares, accommodation, insurance, playing uniform, transport, and other associated costs.
Taylor said she is extremely willing to return the credit to all organisations and businesses that choose to sponsor her or contribute financially to her cause.
“I am able to have your company logo displayed on my tracksuit and bag which I will be wearing proudly, not only on the tour, but to and from training sessions and future Tasmanian competitions,” she said.
Currently, Taylor is organising a number of youth-friendly activities with the assistance of parents. Up-and-coming activities will include a movie afternoon at Village Cinemas and a fundraising evening at Rosny Bowls Club among a few others being planned.
The family would gratefully appreciate donations of prizes for raffles if sponsorship is not possible.
Taylor has only been playing Futsal for a couple of years but clearly is already making her mark.
Her background in dancing and her unwavering dedication have contributed to her successful rise through the ranks.
“I am a responsible, reliable, trustworthy and committed sportsperson, and someone who I am sure you would be proud to have represent your company abroad,” Taylor said.
For further information about Taylor’s trip, or to contribute to the fundraising effort, please contact Bronwyn Johnson on 0439 843 547, or Todd Mills on 0409 521 968.
The world championships will be held this year from October 20 to November 6.
