Rosny land chance

A LARGE parcel of land near Rosny Park is being released for development.

In a joint announcement, Clarence Mayor Jock Campbell and Environment, Parks and Heritage Minister David O’Byrne said the nine-hectare site had significant potential for development providing benefit to the local community and region.

The land, which was formerly part of the Rosny Park golf course, is located at 55 & 75 Gordons Hill Road and comprises Crown land and Council owned property.

“For such a large parcel of land to become available so close to the business and service centre at Rosny Park is a unique opportunity,” Ald Campbell said.

“Council conducted a community consultation process to identify and establish the opportunities and preferred future uses of the site. This led to the rezoning of the land to facilitate opportunities such community living developments, retirement and aged care facilities, visitor accommodation, and ancillary type services.”

“The State Government is pleased to be working in partnership with the Council on the project which will enable the two adjacent land parcels to be developed in an integrated manner to achieve the best outcome for the community,” Minister O’Byrne said.

Expressions of interest in developing the land have been invited through advertisements in daily media.
